A Legacy Built.

As a leader in the electrical industry, I’m passionate about empowering others through education and training.

That passion was shaped long before I stepped into this work. I was raised in a family that believed education and hard work were the keys to opportunity. My mother worked for the local school district and spent summers on a cannery assembly line. My father served in the United States Air Force before retiring as a draftsman for a utility company, hand-drawing the maps that helped keep communities powered. From them, I learned that pride in your work matters and that excellence is earned through discipline, perseverance, and integrity.

Years into delivering leadership training to IBEW members, I discovered something that made this work even more personal. My grandfather, Henry L. King, was one of the first Black electricians to join IBEW Local 6 in San Francisco, CA. He served as a marine journeyman during World War II, working in conditions that demanded resilience and courage. His legacy in the trade continued on to Chicago, IL - Local 134. His contributions to Chicago’s historic landscape and to the labor movement, serve as an inspiration to me and so many others
